Project oriented work program.
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of
Engineering Food/Beverage client project through all phases of the
project including: planning, preliminary design, scope development, quoting & estimating,
scheduling, subcontractor communication & coordination, progress monitoring & reporting, and
budget tracking from project kick-off through final acceptance testing.
Develop client relationships to promote continuing / future project work opportunities.
Serve as an advisor, team leader and resource to project staff to resolve technical or operational
problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsibilities include overseeing project management for food and beverage sector
projects from concept through client acceptance. Provide lead interface with customer.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the project execution
through customer acceptance and closeout.
• Responsible for overall project deliverables (safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality,
communication, information management, customer acceptance, etc.).
• Responsible for building and maintaining internal and external relationships to ensure
collaboration, cooperation, and communication throughout the project.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with Sharpe and/or Customer workflow and
design standards.
• Ensure that every project is managed to maximize customer satisfaction
o Ensure project quality control plan is in effect and followed
o Ensure punch list is completed to customer’s satisfaction
o Submit project change orders to customers within a week of request
o Prepare, compete and submit O&M manuals to clients by FAT
• Leads the schedule, design, and cost estimate review process for assigned projects.
• Manages the development of execution plans and manages installation through startup
activities.
• Assists in the competitive bidding process for the procurement of equipment and
construction, including conducting pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
• Manages project engineers, construction administrators, and/or contractors during
various phases of project executions.

Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent combination of food
engineering experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and
abilities.
• Minimum of 10 years related experience with at least 5 years in project management
required.
• Ability to perform as a technical lead in mechanical, process, electrical, or packaging
engineering discipline.
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Must have proficiency with MS Project or equivalent project management software.
• PMP Certification required within two years of being hired.
• Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attentiveness to detail, follow-up procedures, and documentation of action. Proficient in
time management and personal organization.
• Travel is required.
