TERRITORY SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOOD SERVICE – WEST

 

Territory Sales Representative Food Service WEST is responsible for developing new and current profitable business growth in our Food Service division working with customers, brokers and distributor partners. While understanding key insights and business drivers for Food Service customers, you will build strong customer relationships and future growth for the business.  The ideal candidate must have an entrepreneurial spirit and passion to drive growth in new categories. You will contribute and execute strategic actions that will benefit the company’s long-term growth. This role reports to the Director of Food Service.

 

Essential Capabilities & Functions (not limited to):

  • Effectively lead our Food Service brokers and sell to potential new accounts to increase distribution and sales in your respective territory
  • Execute Food Service selling plans and objectives with local brokers
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Manage your sales and profitability in your own territory, including monthly estimates and efficient trade spend
  • Work closely with Business Development, Finance and Supply Chain colleagues to ensure effective execution
  • Communicate openly and effectively with all key counterparts: customers, brokers, distributors, colleagues
  • Time management and self-discipline: ability to execute against set objectives.

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent business and sales negotiation skills
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Food Service sales, broker network, business development and/or regional chain accounts
  • Proven track record on building profitable growth
  • Excellence in execution and closing negotiations with win-win outcome
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office systems and CRM tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and engage different parties in solution generation
  • Experience in Business Development in Food Service segments: non-commercial; regional chains, hospitality, C&U; and others.
  • Passion for food and culinary experience
  • Domestic travel 50%
